OurCalendar ("we", "our", or "the app") is a social calendar app built by Jehren Petty. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the app's features:

• Authentication — OurCalendar supports Sign in with Apple and phone number authentication (SMS OTP). Sign in with Apple uses an identity token; no email is accessed or stored. Phone number is optional and only collected if you choose phone authentication.
• First Name — Displayed to your friends within the app.
• Events — Event titles, descriptions, dates, and recurrence settings you create.
• Friendships — Records of friend connections and requests between users.
• Device Token — Your Apple Push Notification service (APNs) token, used to deliver push notifications to your device.
• Notification Preferences — Your choices for which types of notifications you want to receive.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide and improve the app's functionality:

• Authenticate your identity via Sign in with Apple or phone number verification
• Display your name to friends and event co-owners
• Store and sync your events across devices
• Enable friend discovery by unique friend code
• Send push notifications for friend requests and new events from friends

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database platform. Supabase provides encrypted connections and follows industry-standard security practices. Authentication sessions are stored locally on your device in the iOS Keychain.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only shared in these limited ways:

• With your friends — Your name, events, and event details are visible to users you have accepted as friends.
• Apple — For Sign in with Apple authentication and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for delivering push notifications.
• Supabase — Your data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure as our database provider.

Tracking and Analytics

OurCalendar does not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect behavioral data, usage patterns, or device advertising identifiers. The app does not track you in any way.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the app's settings, all of your data is permanently removed from our servers, including your profile, events, friendships, device tokens, and notification preferences.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — All of your data is visible within the app.
• Delete your account — You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from the Profile screen in the app.
• Control notifications — You can enable or disable specific notification types in your profile settings.

Children's Privacy

OurCalendar is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
